One of the most beautiful lakes in the Tatras, mostly because of the surrounding areas - valleys Zlomisková dolina and Mengusovská dolina, with impressive Tatra summits towering over them. The road leading to the lake is beautiful as well, especially the red trail leading from Štrbské pleso - the trail runs through the slopes of Patria and is very picturesque.
