Kežmarok is one of the most beautiful towns of Spiš and the cycling route runs close to its historical centre, with late Gothic renaissance and baroque bourgeois and artisan houses, a shapely town hall, defensive castle, and magnificent catholic and protestant churches.

To get to the next part of the Route around the Tatras from the centre of the city, take a right on the intersection next to the petrol station and Kežmarok castle, into Nižna Brana St., then turn left, going towards the bridge over Ľubica. Once you cross the river, you will reach the neighbourhood Sever, where you need to turn left into Pod Lesom St. This is where the cycling path starts - it runs on the eastern outskirts of the city, on the right bank of the Poprad river, next to the forest. After around 2 km, the route branches out. If you go right, you will pass the stud farm Rančo Čajka and reach the Zlatná reservoir (rybník Zlatná).
