Each region of the Route around the Tatras has its local traditional products which may constitute a great souvenir from your stay in the mountains or a small gift for your friends. In many places, especially in the cities, you can buy traditional oscypki and other kinds of cheese. Local delicacies can also be found on the Podhale Fair in NowyTarg or The European Folk Craft Festival in Kežmarok. In Nestville Park in Hniezdne, you can learn about the process of creating Slovakian whisky and chocolate. In Liptovar brewery in LiptovskýMikuláš, you can have a taste of the local beer or Demänovka - a herbal liqueur made from Tatra spring water and honey.
